In tech, Emmanuel focuses on society-centered AI and impact-driven research. His research interests span all things responsible AI including safety, causality, systems thinking, and social impact, with applications in predictive models, language models and reinforcement learning. He is also an experienced manager and software engineer in data, reliability and product functions. His engineering interests include digital public infrastructure, large-scale systems, and all tech in the public interest. Emmanuel studied Computer Science and Psychology at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Outside tech, Emmanuel is making wine and refining his style through harvest internships around the world. His evolving philosophy incorporates elements of "minimal intervention", "slow wine", and "natural wine", basically helping mother nature out using sustainable viticultural and winemaking practices. Emmanuel has a certificate in Winemaking from the University of California, Davis and is currently pursuing another certificate in Viticulture.
